“PARADIGM-Skills Development Centre is now offering OTHM Level 7 Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety Management”

Overview:

The OTHM Level 7 Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety Management is designed for individuals aspiring to become health and safety professionals. It targets learners responsible for developing and implementing health and safety procedures within organizations on a daily basis.

Entry Requirements:

To enroll in the OTHM Level 7 Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety Management, learners must meet the following criteria:

Hold a minimum Level 6 qualification such as the OTHM Level 6 Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety or an equivalent Level 6 qualification; or

Be at least 21 years old at the start of the course.

Applicants with significant relevant professional experience will also be considered on a case-by-case basis.

Equivalences:

The OTHM Level 7 diplomas on the Regulated Qualifications Framework (RQF) are at the same level as master’s degrees. However, they are shorter (120 credits), and learners must proceed to the dissertation stage (60 credits) with a university partner to obtain a full master’s program.

Qualification Structure:

The OTHM Level 7 Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety Management comprises 6 mandatory units, totaling 120 credits, 1200 hours Total Qualification Time (TQT), and 600 Guided Learning Hours (GLH) for the completed qualification.

Effectiveness of Health and Safety Management Systems (20 credits)

Factors Affecting Risk and Strategic Risk Intervention (20 credits)

Strategic Commitment to Health and Well-Being (20 credits)

Sustainability and Ethics in Health and Safety Practice (20 credits)

Advanced Research Methods (20 credits)

Duration and Delivery:

Guided Learning Hours (GLH) specified in each unit indicate the number of hours of teacher-supervised or direct study time required to teach that unit.

Assessment and Verification:

All units within this qualification are internally assessed by the center and externally verified by OTHM. The qualifications are criterion-referenced, based on the achievement of specified learning outcomes.

Progression:

The OTHM Level 7 Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety Management qualification allows learners to advance their careers in employment and/or pursue further study.
